That’s why, in addition to The Pavilion, we have multiple room rental options available to you on our Lee’s Summit campus. Each room rental offers a host of features and amenities, including catering services, to make your event even more memorable.

The Chapel
Reserve The ChapelLocated on the John Knox Village campus in Lee’s Summit, our nondenominational chapel is an ideal venue for life’s most meaningful moments. Ceremony and reception packages are available, which make it remarkably convenient for the bride, groom, and guests to walk from the wedding ceremony right to the reception.

The Manhattan Room
Reserve The Manhattan RoomThis intimate venue is part of Places Restaurant and Café. It’s surprisingly versatile, with its own dance floor and flexible floor plan configuration, which made it the right setting for parties, reunions, and receptions.
Features of the Manhattan room include:
- 1,848 sq. ft. flexible floor plan
- Capacity of up to 64 guests in banquet-style seating and 70-80 guests in theater-style seating
- 18′ x 20′ dance floor

The Missouri Room
Reserve The Missouri RoomThis event space overlooks our private lake and nine-hole golf course, providing a stunning natural backdrop for a formal dinner, corporate event, or intimate reception.
Features of the Missouri Room include:
- 902 sq. ft. flexible floor plan
- Seating capacity for up to 60 guests

Courtyard Community Center
Reserve Courtyard Community CenterLocated in the heart of the Courtyard neighborhood, the Courtyard Community Center is a spacious event space that can accommodate a wide variety of activities.
Features of the Courtyard Community Center include:
- Can accommodate up to 80 guests at round tables, or around 120 guests in theater style.
- The room includes a projector, screen, and sound system. A baby grand piano and podium are also available.
- Access to a beautiful outdoor courtyard area.

About Our Venue Spaces
What is your catering policy?
From gourmet dinners to box lunches and concessions, John Knox Village offers full-service catering and holds licenses from the state of Missouri, Jackson County and the city of Lee’s Summit. Outside catering is allowed if provided by a licensed catering service, holding proper food permits and proof of insurance.
Is bar service available?
Flexible bar packages are available through our fully licensed beverage catering service. Hosted and cash bar options are available. All alcohol has to be provided and served by John Knox Village.
What about décor?
The standard rate for The Pavilion includes four hours to decorate and set up to your desires and specifications, with a staff member present to answer questions. If additional set-up time is needed, provisions to your contract can be made at additional cost.
For other rooms, two hours of decorating is included.
Candles are permitted upon approval, as long as it’s not an open flame.
We have multiple event-planning contracts throughout the Kansas City area to help meet your decorating needed.
Do you provide in-house DJ services?
Our production staff can provide special lighting effects and wireless microphones if needed for your event. However, The Pavilion at John Knox Village doesn’t provide DJ services.
Is a deposit required?
For The Pavilion at John Knox Village, once you’ve selected a date, a 25% non-refundable deposit will hold the space for you. The balance will need to be paid 30 days prior to the event.
For all other venues, 100% of the balance is required at the time you sign the contract.
